柳州市奇石园管理处位于柳州市屏山大道 343 号，占地面积 4.28 公顷，是一个以地方奇石为主体，由石起意，以石造景，因石得名，广西乃至全国最大的奇石专类园。其依山傍水的主体建筑“八桂奇石馆”常年对外展示柳州 60 余种、约 5 千件自然天成的奇石佳作，令人叹为观止；碧波荡漾的游泳场是消暑的好去处；还有星罗棋布的景石、婆娑的亚热带植物、沧桑的百年古榕……

　　唐柳宗元《柳州山水近治可游者记》所记“南有山，正方而崇，类屏者曰屏山”，这屏山，指的就是。 159.40 米，环麓 300 米，山体为石灰岩质，山势呈南北走向、形似屏风，此山虽不算高，因是孤峰，且为箭盘湖所环绕，却也显得十分峻峭、挺拔。相传古代武官们在山下比武射箭，曾以此山为靶，故古今留名。如今山下建有拱桥、水榭、景亭颇有意境；半山处一溶洞空阔高朗、横贯东西，长约 30 米，洞中光线充足，轻风爽气宜人；特别是这里附丽宋名将杨文广帅军惩罚交趾军的民间传说，更使溶洞平添历史沧桑之感，沿山道攀援将经过一段几乎直上直下的“天梯”，即登临山巅。临崖览胜，北眺柳江至西北蜿蜒而来，向东北飘延而去，“南环而宽，北夹而束，有壶之形焉”；东指马鹿、驾鹤、蟠龙、东台诸山，西瞻鹅山、文笔、立鱼、马鞍群峰，逶迤起伏、错落嵯峨，古八景之“天马腾空”、“笔峰耸翠”、“东台返照”、“驾鹤晴岚”诸景历历在目。

Fantastic Stone Garden of Liuzhou City

Located at No.343, Pingshan Avenue, the Fantastic Stone Garden of Liuzhou City, about 1,000 meters away from Ma Anshan Fantastic Market, is one of oldest and biggest trading markets specially for fantastic stones in China. Liuzhou, also called Capital of Stone, is famous for its unique fantastic stones. It is one of characteristics of Liuzhou to visit Stone City when you travel here. The Fantastic Stones kept in the collection of the Garden are well known in South East Asia. This Fantastic Stone Garden was built in 1994 and was named Liuzhou Jian Panshan Fantastic Stone Garden because there is a hill called Jian Panshan. Later in 2005, it changed its name to The Fantastic Stone Garden of Liuzhou City.
The Fantastic Stone Garden of Liuzhou City was specially built for those fantastic stones so it made good use of them in designing the garden. There is a stream between a hill and the garden. In the garden, there is also a Stone Admiring Square and some stone sculptures of famous men who are brought luck by stone.
There are hundreds of beautiful and unique stones which can be divided into more than 60 or so kinds of stone. Most of them are of good quality with a long history of nature change. If you go and see it, you will know what treasures they are.
Now, The Fantastic Stone Garden of Liuzhou City has become a fantastic stone Expo, a worldwide exchange center for people to enjoy the infinite charms of fantastic stone, and it is a main site in holding the Liuzhou International Fantastic Stone Festival.
